Seed of Love

Seed of love is the name given to the Foundation's primary program, that being the mentorship of the boy child, a subject that is fundamental to the developing society and an area where the SOW legacy disciplines are fostered and practiced at length.

We aim to mentor, coach, counsel, empower and upskill boy children in South Africa to be game changers and distinguished future leaders and to further provide the right tools to enable them to write their own successful life's blueprint.

Seed of love is offered to schools in South Africa in a form of an extra mural activity enrolling learners from the ages of six (6) upwards. The syllabus is divided into four (4) categories namely: early childhood, tween, teenagers and young adults. Seed of love is led and facilitated by professionals and graduates from various affected sectors.

Under the Seed of love program, SOW hosts two (2) campaigns such as MO-SHOES-4-U and Dear Son, which are designed to empower boy children and raise awareness on social ills that affect his global standing.

Outline Of Seed Of Love

"SOW" registers a group of boy children to participate in the program. The syllabus encompasses psycho-social support, life-skills and skills development desciplines that are facilitated by experts in various fields. At the end of the cycle deserving individuals are presented with the honorary "Blazer" which symbolises a new journey that encourages and supports boy children to strive for excellence.

The extended program runs at a camp site outside of their comfort zone. Traveling away from one's usual surrounding has great benefits for the individual, benefits such as:

  1. Stimulates the mind;
  2. Enhances creativity;
  3. Relieves stress and boosts mental health;
  4. Shifts perspective;
  5. Increases connection to others and self; and
  6. Promotes health and physical activity
